Vineyard: 100% Nebbiolo. Vezza d’Alba, vigna Valtassera (menzione geografica: Valmaggiore)
Type of soil: mostly sandy.
Vinemaking: skin maceration of about 20 days with frequent pumping over; fermentation in steel tanks.
Aging: 30 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and rest in the bottle for about 6 months.
Alcohol: 14.5% – 15% by Vol.
Color: intense garnet red.
Bouquet: red fruits, jam and spices. Intense and elegant.
Taste: hints of jam and spices immediately prevail and are well balanced by the wine’s vertical freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with delicate tannins.
Pairing: versatile in matching, it goes well with traditional Piedmontese first courses, fondue and truffle-based dishes. Ideal with roasted red meat, game as well as aged cheeses
